For the Ribelmais-Poularde only chickens of a slow growing breed are reared. Our farmers keep the animals in small herds in mobile and fixed stables and feed them with a high-quality cereal mixture. The bulk of the feed mix consists of Rheintaler Ribelmais AOP. This corn variety has a 300-year history and is associated with many traditions in the Rhine Valley.

The rearing lasts almost twice as long as with a conventional chicken.
Due to the special feeding and the slow growth of the animals, the Ribelmais poularde is

  •      very tasty with a high intramuscular fat content,
  •      thanks to less protein escaping while cooking, very high quality and
  •      unmistakable yellowish skin.
